Message from Southern Water
Drop-in session at Iden Village Hall where we will have drawings on show to explain the project on Tuesday 20 June, between 3pm and 7pm.
The sewer, that carries the wastewater from Iden village away for treatment, was built more than 50 years ago and has burst on a number of times in recent years.
This is why we’re constructing a new 1.9km main along Iden Road to replace the existing pipe which is in nearby farmland.
Our work will start on the 22 July 2017 and continue until early September.
It will involve the closure of the B2082 Iden Road from the junction with A268 Rye Road to the junction with Playden Lane. A diversion will be in place for through traffic, although access to properties will be maintained.
We’re sorry for any disruption in the area during the works. We will do all we can to keep this to a minimum.
We will be holding a drop-in session at Iden Village Hall where we will have drawings on show to explain the project. The session will take place on Tuesday 20 June, between 3pm and 7pm.
